Fate’s Path

I wrote fat instead of fate at first, I wasn’t far wrong at the first try as I’ve eaten too much these last few weeks, time to lose weight again - a little, down to 12 stone 12 (again) and see from there. Fate, do you believe in it? I do, the belief involves phrases like “things happen for a reason” and “there’s many paths to lead you to life’s junctions that you were always going to pass” ok so I’m making half of these up but they’re true to fate for many of us.

I’m having an epiphany, had it, it’s an event where numerous events lead you to a conclusion that you may or may not have been mulling over for quite sometime or it simply came to you and changed your life in a flash. Make no mistake, it does happen and it has its religious conotations but sometimes a series of events that have caused disorder and chaos can make everything suddenly become a lot clearer.

I’d love to blog about it but it’s private, I can reveal the conclusions however not the method and the madness and parts therein. I can say that I have a very special woman in my life, my best mate and there we have it as you all nod your head knowingly. So what happened, things came to pass which got me to sew up one major decision which has held me back for months, I’m selling my house and buying in Bucharest.

There done it, yes that’s all it is but big for me. Whether it’s possible in any short duration of time I am yet to find out but I’ll lay the foundations for moving forward tomorrow. My present situation sees me keep my Mum’s house in the UK, rent out for an amount which directly goes on my rent here, it’s all very nice but as you can see, pretty pointless. I’m of an age now where I should live in my own house and be building a present and future around me, doesn’t mean I have to stay in the new apartment I buy, I can sell again.

It has been a concern, keeping no home in the UK, that whatever property I buy in Romania may decline and see me never back on the housing ladder again in the UK but I’m in business… I can make money can’t I? So there we go, fate doesn’t work on its on… for you to enjoy fate you need to make the most of the ride. Every person has several major points in their life which they are destined to partake in, they have the same earth shattering world changing feel each and every time but there are different ways to get there.

I can of course simply ignore every sign provided, I can think of four that arrived all today, two by text from two different people and the following phone calls, one through face to face conversation and again a second one later on, an event, a relationship and of course the recollection of all past discussions both for and against the decision. There’s a simple answer when you get all the shoves all on the same day, it’s either ignore and deny the obvious and wait for the next opportunity or simpy agree and go for it.

It could of course be the wrong decision yet I have always found that following the good vibes in fate no matter how daunting and scary they may seem, usually sees the biggest leaps of faith pay off even if you know one day it may all come to an end again through no fault of your own. So I’m selling my house as quick as I can so I can buy here. And from the proceeds I will also buy a car and learn to drive – it will help I think.

There’s nothing more to say I don’t think except buy some of my domains please, I’m tired, night. One added bonus for those of you who follow and live fate’s footsteps… not only was Monday full of pointers for one major decision, I have also seen the opportunities offered to me in the past on numerous occasions which would have led me on the same journey I’m on now. Get it? just me then but it’s a nice feeling.

I write this in the present with sorrow, while thinking of the past.

Knowing those we remember wouldn’t think twice about the future’s path.
