The FTSE 600
December 11, 2008 No CommentsWell what dya know Joe, it’s Friday and two weeks before crimbo. Unlike the UK, here in Bucharest it is yet to snow, ok it snowed a week or so ago or ninje as they say locally but nothing settled. In comparison to last year when it didn’t stop for weeks, we’re assured a white Christmas of course but it’s getting a little late for a sprinkle of early cheer.
I don’t blog much these days, personal life has been busy again which is very welcome and the time I do have spare is spent working and thinking about how to make more mullah in the current climate and we both know we aint talking weather. Not this paragraph anyway. I’m a seriously happy chappy right now, ok not everything is going smoothly but whatever life throws at me and a best friend, we’re dealing with it together.
The title of this post is canny, FTSE as in the UK Stock Market with a twist, £600 for the Friday Target : Squillions Emergency. OK, so I couldn’t think of anything for E… hardly an emergency but it may well look like it. I’ve had an ok week, brought in £755 Tuesday, £100 Wednesday and nothing on Thursday despite posting on a dozen new forums but at least everyone credits me with the new chatroom activity on acorn.
Negotiation however was begun on one batch early this morning and with sleep inbetween the FTSE 600 with one more email to come, may well have decreased by an early offer of £120 to £250 leaving only £350 to attain by midnight. I can’t moan it’s been an interesting week but most of the money is gone already and I will need to keep raising money right up until Christmas - a shame but it’s true, up hill tasks as always.
I could elaborate on other sales and may well do so later in another post but right now, £350/£600 left to get. OK, I’ll elaborate as I just finished off Sarmale Pizza from last night washed down with Fanta Portocala - an healthy breakfast. Last week I asked to be reinstated as an active member on AcornDomains.co.uk which was granted – previously banned for being argumentative towards a moderator which I apologised for.
Before requesting re-entry from NASA, National Acorn Senior Admin I did £50 on MagazineWorld.co.uk to a regular punter, I know cheap but that’s life. I then shifted three more for £25 each on Acorn, followed by a private message and a follow up to a previous enquiry for £175 that being iSunglasses.co.uk. Paid by paypal so taking a while to arrive but thankfully that means I still have it to spend. I also got an additional £165 out of one of the £25 sales with add ons. My speciality, add ons to bump up the after sale sales talk.
If I was clever I’d sell insurance for the domains… 1 year, three and five years. As Christmas closes in sales are going to get bleaker, in contrast to the high street business tends to start going on holiday, well erm last week. I do have money coming next week, small payments, those being £160 odd from TradeDoubler and around £45 from AffiliateWindow. I’m only just starting to get back into Affiliate Marketing, a shame that I’ve missed another bumper Christmas, I have only myself to blame. Back to the sales office. Some Romanian culture for you, Replik with Asa Ma Simt… means ‘that’s how I feel’ – I think. I just heard it on Breakfast telly this morning, it’s got me in the mood.
Update: 10pm and almost all in. £250 was raised and paid this morning, a further £50 tonight leaving £300, an email enquiry from my newsletter offers list came back with another £125 making a total of £425 on the way with £175 left to attain. I have one enquiry on seod.co.uk at £150 and will hopefully see that closed later tonight, we shall see, one sec MSN email alert… nope Ann Summers – AS AN AFFILIATE!! Maybe. Drum roll, will it be £25 left or £175, only one person has the answer, the buyer of seod.co.uk
