I caught this pair yesterday, the nanofood industry is set to be worth over £16 billion a year.

To put in bluntly, nanofoods are what are used in the canteen on board the starship enterprise – well nearly, food gets alterered at a molecular level and will change the diets of billions as far as I can understand, you can eat 100% fat tasting chocolate, without the 100% fat, the taste is the key. Not only that, but you can chew chewing gum and it can release many different flavours over the course of a chew, one by one, timed. Willy Wonkas it… most certainly is.

They can wrap oil around water and can do this with many products so that you’re eating healthily but getting the same or better taste. Imagine the taste without the fat, the area is huge, not only taste but changing colours and textures and some events can even be triggered by the person who buys the product, imagine all of the pepsi varieties coming as one product but with the ability to change the flavour before you open it, one shake and it goes from plain old pepsi to pepsi twist.

Nano foods are enormous because for years food manufacturers have had to play around with fat content to supply the taste which has had the obvious side affects of dietry problems, all the main producers and governments are investing in this tech, because the public are hungry for the taste but not the fat, they can see money in this, for once they can be on the good side of food supply and not the bad while trying to make their customers, content, full and happy.
